Navaneetha and her younger brother are being raised solely by their mother after their father ran off three years ago. Last year, Navaneetha started to live with her aunt who lives in Vinukoda near St. Mary's Elementary where she can attend school. 

Na Yaw, is the youngest among eight siblings. Her mother died when she was young, the father brought the convent because he cannot keep support for his daughter. She is a very sweet and smart girl, she had a hard time adjusting to the convent at first but has made friends and now really enjoys her time here. 

There are nine children in his family. Necodemus father passed away three years ago, now is mother has to take care of all of the children by herself. His mother is getting old and has a very hard time supporting all of her children. She often does not have a regular income. Necodemus is a good boy and zealous to continue his studies. 

Nehanitha is very good at reading and writing, and her parents cannot provide for her basic needs and school. Now she has joined our boarding and is very happy.

Ngan Wai is the oldest of four siblings. He has three younger sisters. They are not in school yet. The family is very poor. His parents are Jum cultivators, and it's their only source of income. Ngan Wai loves to read books. He wants to be a teacher when he is older. 

Nang Sao Phong is the only daughter in the family, unfortunate her father is with epilepsy and her mother suffers from pile. her parents became completely disabled and live as inmates of Leper Colony under the care of the Sisters. She has a rare skin disorder and her classmates are afraid to go near her so she doesn't have many friends. Her intelligence is above average and she works really hard to learn the lessons in school.

Nicholas is from a landless family. They have a hut on others land. Nicholas goes to school everyday and is very intelligent in school. He dreams of becoming a teacher when he grows up. 

Nicolas Ah Long is the eldest son of the family. His parents are very poor and have many children they need to support He has seven siblings. His father often struggles to find work as daily laborer due to the military coup.  He came to the orphanage in order to get an education, he is very eager to learn and has a bright future. He dreams of becoming a police officer or doctor when he grows up so that he can helps those who are in need. 

Nyi Htway is 22 years old and lives with his parents. He has an older brother who is married. Nyi suffers from Down's syndrome and heart disease. His parents are day laborers since they don't own land. The family is quite poor and has been give two piglets to help increase their household income. A doctor, physiotherapist and CBR (Community Based Rehabiliation) visit the home twice a month to provide special education and physiotherapy intervention.

Omar Kiron has an older sister and a younger brother. His sister is married. His brother is in grade 2. His family is very poor. Omar Kiron would like to be a teacher in the future. 

Opurbo is in class III, he is a very smart boy. He does very well in his materials and is quite advanced for his age. His father is a farmer and is mother is a housewife. They have three children.

Paipai U is the eldest daughter of two siblings. She has a younger brother who is in grade 2 in primary school. Her father works for a company, and her mother is a housewife. She loves to sing and draw. She would like to be a teacher in the future.
