Shopna is in the class II, she is a very bright girl who always tries her best, Her family is very poor. Her father is a farmer and her mother does not work. Shopna is a very kind girl. 

Shorob is a good boy. He does well in his studies he is class I and always tries his best. He likes to play soccer and hangout with his friends. 

Shrabonti is in class VI, she is doing well in her studies and wants to be a teacher when she grows up so that can help teach the poor. Her family has very little, her father is a farmer and her mother does not work. They have three daughter they must care for. 

Shubhoshri is a sweet girl, she has one sibling who is her best friend. Her family is very poor as her father is a farmer, and her mother does not work. She does very well in school and is very kind to her classmates.

Shubho is a good and sweet boy. His family is very poor and cannot support his schooling. He cares a lot about other and dreams of becoming a doctor when he grows up. 

Shuptas is a sweet girl who comes from a loving family. Her father is a farmer, and her mother is unable to work, so they have very little. She has two siblings who she loves very much. She likes to sing and dance with her friends.

Silian is the youngest of three siblings. He is a very playful child and was given the nickname small monkey. He is quick and active. He is now attending Kindergarten at the convent. His father passed away when he was one years old. Due to the present situation occurring in Myanmar. Silian was brought to the convent for his safety. 

Simon is the oldest child out of 4 siblings. His parents are farmer but find it very hard to find work right now. Simon is studying in the village school taught by volunteer teachers as informal education with the aim of taking care of the children in the village. 

Sindupriya has an older sister who is studying at the same school. Her parents both suffer from leprosy, and her mother also has epilepsy. The parents both work as day laborers. An education for Sindupriya will help her in the future, not only in knowledge, but self respect and dignity, since there is still a stigma about patients with leprosy. Sindupriya is good natured and works hard in her studies.

Sing Thowai Nu has four siblings. One of his younger brothers is in grade 1. One of his sisters is in grade 6. The family is very poor. His parents do Jum cultivation, and they have no other source of income. Sing Thowai Nu loves to draw. He wants to be in the army in the future.

Sirisha is from a very poor family. They do not have a house of their own. Her parents are illiterate and are day laborers. Sirisha has a younger brother. He is in 1st grade at the same school she attends. Sirisha is a good student and attends school regularly.

Smily's father is a day laborer, and her mother works at home cleaning dishes and washing clothes.  She works in three houses per day to earn more to support the family.  Smily has one brother; both are good students and attend church activities.  Smily is an active and clever girl; she likes environmental science and math.  She also does well learning English and Telugu.
