Sneha is from a very poor Christian family. Her parents are illiterate and are day laborers. Sneha has three older sisters. Her oldest sister completed her studies at the school Sneha attends and is now in 12th grade at the government school. Her other two siblings are studying at the same school as Sneha. Sneha is doing well in her studies. She likes to participate in activities, especially is it is singing or dancing. The family's income is very low and they have trouble making ends meet.

Sofia is the oldest child in her family. Her father passed away and her family is very poor. Her mother struggles to pay the needs for the family and can not afford to pay for the education of her children. Sofia often gets to attend informal education taught by volunteers. 

She is the youngest child of three children in a very poor family. Her father is a leper and cannot work, and her mother is struggling to support the family, so they have asked the sisters for help in giving their children an education.

Sojib comes from a tribal santal family of a very poor financial background. They do not own any land. Sojib is in kindergarten, he is a good student and tries to do his best at school as well as in his home. He is a very sweet and caring boy. 

Somahia is a good student, she is very smart and always tries to help others. She has one sibling. Her family is very poor, her father is a farmer, and her mother does not work.

Sompod is a nice boy from the Mission Road Village in the north-west region of Bangladesh. His father is a daily labor and his mother is a housewife. He loves playing both soccer and cricket, which is the most popular sport in Bangladesh.

Sotue is studying the third grade and likes to learn about the Thai language. he lives with his parents and brother in the village. He is in good health and likes to play badmington.

Shraboni Rita Tudu is from a very poor tribal family. They have only a tiny house, which is not very stable. Her father doesn't find work very quickly, especially during the rainy season. Despite this, she is a good student and does well socially and academically.

Srabonti is a nice girl from Bhaduria Villiage. From her surname it is understood that she is a Santal, one of many ethnic groups present in the country. Srabonti has one brother and one sister. Srabonti loves to dance and sing, she attends class I at the government school.

Srabon is a good boy from Pochimpara village in northwest Bangladesh.  We see from his surname that he belongs to the Santal people, one of the many ethnic groups present in the country. His parents work seasonally as day laborers for other people since they do not have their land. Srabon likes to play soccer with his friends.

Sroti father passed away two years ago and her mother is forced to both work and take care of the family. Sroti has two siblings. Her mother makes very little and is unable to support the family and schooling needs. 

Stephano is the second child of three to a poor family who lives distant from the village. Stephano is learning first grade at the village school taught by the volunteer teachers as informal education due to the civil war with the aim of gathering and taking care of the children during the day.
