Francis Phatulu has informed us on the project progress of the renovation of girls’ boarding home at Dolaco parish, Myanmar. The renovation of St. Ann’s boarding home for the girls was implemented over about three months. The project started in December 2017 and the project is still in need of work -- the ceiling of the building and renovation of boys’ boarding home are next on the work list.

There were many struggles and challenges involved in the project. From the last week of December 2017 to the second week of January 2018, there was unseasonal rain in the country making transportation very difficult. Also, the state government gave strict orders for not trading and selling woods in the Kayah State.

Francis Phatulu expects the project to be completed during the summer. At that time the boys and girls will have finished the academic year and gone back home. Thanks to our PIME USA project donors, the work can continue in their absence and be ready for the next school year.
