Direct supporter contributions to the project and from those who give to our MDP Medical Fund provide an annual $5,555 to assist the leprosy patients of the Dhanjuri Leprosy Center. In 2022, the Dhanjuri Leprosy Center was able to detect 247 new cases of leprosy (9 of those in children), and 226 patients completed their full treatments for eradicating the disease. Many were also helped with wound care, footwear, medications, and physical therapy at the Center. The Center also implemented programs to create awareness in the community and reduce the stigma associated with leprosy in support of the most vulnerable. This 3-year project continues through 2025.
