Update on Baby's Surgery in Cameroon, Africa

In September, we updated you that contributions from the PIME MDP Medical fund for $2,700 had been immediately distributed to the Bethlehem Foundation in Cameroon to help little Blandine have much needed surgery for  hydrocephalus (water on the brain).  Thanks to your support of PIME’s Medical Fund, you have made a difference in the life of little Blandine.  PIME lay missionary Francesca Bellota, who works at the Bethlehem Center, has let us know that the surgery to drain the excess fluid in Blandine’s skull was done right away. And she informed us that Blandine no longer has constant fevers and has shown some improvement since the surgery.

Without your assistance, Blandine’s mother, Diane, and her family could not have afforded such an operation, which had to be paid for in advance.  They are grateful to their PIME USA supporters for their sustaining support for medical needs such as Blandine’s. Thanks to your continued compassion and care, she has a chance for a better life! Thank you for bringing the healing love of Christ to the most vulnerable among us in PIME’s missions.
