Guinea-Bissau’s health system faces severe limitations, reflected in persistently high maternal and infant mortality. Rural and island regions are particularly affected due to weak infrastructure, long travel distances, and limited capacity to manage high‑risk pregnancies, leading to dangerous delays in accessing care.

PIME Missionary Fr. Ranjith Kumar Penta Reddy serves the people of São Domingos through Mothers’ Home, a local clinic dedicated to reducing maternal and infant mortality. The Home’s program provides comprehensive, preventive care for pregnant women, new mothers, and newborns by offering medical staff, screenings, nutritious meals, hygiene supplies, medicines, and health education. This project needs $25,677 to continue supporting the health and wellbeing of the mothers and infants in São Domingos in 2026. Your support for this project will help reduce the mortality rate of the most vulnerable in Guinea Bissau.
