A vocation is a divine call to God's service. Our Priests and Brothers dedicate their lives to serving His people the world over. Our missions are their main occupation to which they are specially qualified. Whether it is a Priest, able to provide sacramental needs, or a Brother, able to care for people with their skills, these men have a divine purpose they are serving. Serving 17 countries, these men abandon their personal lives at home to bring transformation to people and groups who need it most.
PIME's main priority is the proclamation of the Gospel to non-Christians. Our priests strive for creativity in promoting dialogue and understanding across religions and cultures. Working in underdeveloped countries allows us to engage in the ground-up development of trade schools, hospitals, clinics, and educational programs. We are able to accomplish these things through the promotion of justice and peace and pastoral care of newly founded Catholic communities. PIME Priests often serve in foreign lands for many years and can be responsible for the sacramental needs of very large groups of citizens. It is not uncommon for them to serve as many as 30,000 people, traveling to multiple villages throughout the course of an entire month.
LEARN MORE ABOUT PIME PRIESTThe Missionary Brotherhood centers around men who to devote their lives to missionary work. PIME Brothers focus their energies on the spiritual and physical needs of the people they serve, not the sacramental needs of the community. Without the responsibility sacramental care presents, the missionary brothers can better care for the people they serve. By using their skills and talents, they can share themselves with the missions. Many times a PIME Brother specializes in medicine, education, or otherwise, but all Brothers specialize in providing compassion and care for all people.
LEARN MORE ABOUT PIME BROTHERSPIME currently has seminaries located in Italy, Brazil, and India. At these locations, flexible education schedules are created for candidates as they complete their training to become PIME Priests. When young men in underdeveloped nations feel compelled to complete Christ’s work, their families often feel financial stress. In order to help relieve this burden, PIME is happy to offer the Sponsorship at a Distance Program.
