MDP Medical Fund Assists 12 Projects in 6 Countries in 2022

Thank you for alleviating the physical suffering of the most vulnerable among us through PIME’s Medical Fund!

Thanks to the continued support of our Medical Fund supporters, the PIME Mission Center was able to assist 12 projects in 6 countries totaling $164,321 in medical aid sent in 2022. 

Your care for the physical needs of those most vulnerable has made a difference in the lives of so many!

This medical assistance was provided in 2022 through the MDP Medical Fund:

Algeria: $817 for 1 project:

  • For disabled children of the Laghouat-Ghardaïa Diocese (in addition to $19,997 sent in 2020).

Bangladesh: $37,324 for 3 projects:

  • For the PIME Assistance Center for the Sick in Dhaka.
  • For leprosy patients at the Dhanjuri Leprosy Center in Dinajpur.
  • Medications and testing for patients and a vehicle for Sr. Roberta’s (PIME Sister) mission in Khulna.

Cambodia: $8,950 for 1 project:

  • For medical equipment for the Sonja Kill Hospital (in collaboration with the Bambino Gesu Hospital).

Cameroon: $49,833 for 5 projects:

  • Leg surgery for a patient, Joseph, in Garoua.
  • Maternity equipment for the poor at the Bibemi Dispensary in Garoua.
  • A healthcare fund for the poor at the Bibemi Dispensary in Garoua.
  • A dental fund for the needy at the Youndé Dispensary.
  • Healthcare for poor women and children in Yaoundé.

India: $8,146 for 1 project:

  • For support for the lepers of the Adharsa Nagar leprosy colony in Kurnool.

Myanmar: $59,251 for 1 project:  

  • For healthcare/medical camps for the poor in the Loikaw Diocese.
