PIME Missionary Fr. Danilo Fenaroli has reported back to us on the $34,581 that the PIME US Mission Center and its supporters provided for the second implementation of the clean water project. Thanks to your generosity, Fr. Danilo has completed the wells so that over 4,900 people in the villages of Moudawa, Zouzoui, and Mahai in Cameroon now have clean water!  Fr. Danilo informed us that due to the rocky soil, these new wells needed to be dug to depths of 197-250 feet and the installation included an “India” type pump with stainless steel pipes, concrete wells/bases, and a water drainage channel. As is their procedure, local committees for the management of the wells were set up in each village, and training was given on their proper functioning and maintenance. Two people in each village were instructed on diagnosing and intervening with any problems and they received tools and materials for repairs, thus assuring their smooth operation.

Fr. Danilo and the communities of Moudawa, Zouzoui, and Mahai are grateful to you for this life-giving basic need and all the benefits it brings to their lives and health.
